Identity in Christ: Knowing Who You Really Are

Image
Who are you? It’s a question we all wrestle with quietly, constantly. Not the version you present to the world, not what your job title says, not what your past screams at you in your weakest moments. The world tries to define us by performance, appearance, mistakes. But none of that truly answers the question. Because until you know who you are in  Christ , you’ll always be reaching for worth in all the wrong places. When you truly know who you are in Him, your confidence becomes steady, your worth is no longer up for debate, and your life begins to align with the truth of God’s Word. You stop performing for approval and start walking in peace. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) What does it really mean to find your identity in Christ? It means your worth no longer depends on your past, your performance, or people’s opinions. It means you’re no longer defined by shame, comparison, or confusi...

The Fruit of the Spirit in Everyday Life

We often think spiritual maturity is measured by how much we know about God or how often we pray. But Galatians 5 shows us that real spiritual growth is seen in how we live in our attitudes, responses, and relationships.  It’s the  fruit of the Spirit  that reveals how deeply rooted we are in Christ.    “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The real test of our spiritual maturity isn’t how loud we worship, but how we treat others when no one is watching. That’s where the  fruit of the Spirit  comes in. The fruit of the S...

But beyond the words , what does it look like on an ordinary Tuesday? How do we actually live this out? There are days when we feel close to God when peace surrounds us, our minds are clear, and decisions come easily. But then there are the days we don’t feel that way and we find ourselves reacting instead of responding. So, what does it really mean to  walk in the Spirit ? And how do we do it in the middle of real life? Is it a mystical experience? A moment during prayer? Or something more everyday? Let’s see what Scripture really says and how it applies to your life today. What Does “Walk in the Spirit” Mean? In Galatians 5:16, Paul writes: “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” — Galatians 5:16 (NIV) Walking in the Spirit means allowing the Spirit of God to influence the way you think, feel...
