Intimacy with God

What Is Intimacy? Intimacy means  closeness . It’s the difference between  knowing facts about someone  and  sharing life with them .  We can know about someone without ever really  knowing  them. You can follow someone on social media, watch their stories, and even memorize their favorite quotes and still have no personal relationship with them. The same can happen in our relationship with God. You can’t build closeness without time; this is true in any relationship, and it’s especially true with God. Intimacy is cultivated when you make time to be with Him regularly, not just when you’re in crisis or need a breakthrough. This kind of intimacy allows us to be honest with God, to rest in His presence, and to receive His love without striving. It’s where our identity is formed and our hearts are healed. Let’s walk through  teachable principles  that will help you grow in closeness with Him. Pursue Relationship Over Routine Routines help us sta...

Identity in Christ: Knowing Who You Really Are

Who are you? It’s a question we all wrestle with quietly, constantly. Not the version you present to the world, not what your job title says, not what your past screams at you in your weakest moments. The world tries to define us by performance, appearance, mistakes. But none of that truly answers the question. Because until you know who you are in  Christ , you’ll always be reaching for worth in all the wrong places. When you truly know who you are in Him, your confidence becomes steady, your worth is no longer up for debate, and your life begins to align with the truth of God’s Word. You stop performing for approval and start walking in peace. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) What does it really mean to find your identity in Christ? It means your worth no longer depends on your past, your performance, or people’s opinions. It means you’re no longer defined by shame, comparison, or confusi...

The Fruit of the Spirit in Everyday Life

We often think spiritual maturity is measured by how much we know about God or how often we pray. But Galatians 5 shows us that real spiritual growth is seen in how we live in our attitudes, responses, and relationships.  It’s the  fruit of the Spirit  that reveals how deeply rooted we are in Christ.    “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”  — Galatians 5:22–23 (NIV) What does it really mean to be spiritual? Is it about knowing Bible verses, attending church regularly, or praying for hours? While those are important, the true evidence of spiritual growth is not just found in what we say or do publicly, it’s seen in who we are becoming privately. The real test of our spiritual maturity isn’t how loud we worship, but how we treat others when no one is watching. That’s where the  fruit of the Spirit  comes in. The fruit of the S...
