Forgiveness isn’t easy.  Especially when the wound runs deep, when the betrayal still stings, or when the apology never came. But forgiveness is not about making what happened “okay.” It’s about  choosing freedom.  Not just for the other person but for  you. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”  — Ephesians 4:32 (NIV) Forgiveness is at the very heart of the gospel. It’s what Jesus did for us, and it’s what He calls us to do for others. Not when we feel like it but even when it hurts. 1.
